Disclosures

This page sets out who I am not, what I publish, what I withhold, and why. It is written to be read in full before anything on this site is relied upon.

Regulatory status — please read first

I am not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as a Research Analyst under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, or as an Investment Adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. I hold no exchange membership, broker licence, or any other market registration or authorisation, in India or elsewhere.

I am therefore not authorised to provide investment advice, and I do not provide it. Everything published here is my own personal opinion, written as a record of my own work and thinking. It is general commentary. It is not a research report, not a personal recommendation, and not a service of any kind offered to anyone.

Specifically, and without exception, you will not find on this site:

  • Buy, sell, or hold calls on any security, instrument, or asset.
  • Price targets, valuations offered as guidance, or expected returns.
  • Model portfolios, trade ideas, entry or exit levels, or position sizing.
  • Any offer to manage money, advise, or act for anyone.

If you are looking for advice, engage a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser. Nothing here substitutes for that, and none of it is written with your circumstances, objectives, or risk tolerance in mind — because I do not know them.

What is withheld, and why

The following are not disclosed, in any note, to any reader:

  • My research process, and the models, screens, or heuristics behind a conclusion.
  • Data sources, vendors, and the specific datasets a note draws on.
  • Any positions I hold, in any instrument, at any time.
  • Employer, client, or counterparty relationships.

This is a standing policy, applied uniformly. I state it plainly here so that its absence from individual notes is understood as deliberate rather than evasive. A reader is entitled to judge an argument on its reasoning and on whether it holds up; that is the only basis on which anything here asks to be assessed.

Conflicts of interest

I may hold, and may transact in, any instrument or asset discussed in these notes — before or after publication, and without notice. I disclose no position and give no undertaking not to trade. Assume a conflict may exist on any note and read accordingly.

Independence

I write on my own initiative. I accept no payment, consideration, or editorial input in exchange for coverage, and publish no sponsored or commissioned material. Nothing here is written to anyone's mandate.

Accuracy and revision

Notes reflect my view at the time of writing and are not updated as conditions change. Material factual errors are corrected in place with a dated note; views that simply turned out to be wrong are left standing rather than quietly amended.

Third-party material

Where a note refers to external data or research, that material remains the property of its owner and is referenced only to the extent necessary. I do not redistribute licensed data.

Contact

Correspondence is welcome through the enquiry form on any page. I will not answer questions about process, sources, or positions — see above — and I cannot answer questions about what you should do with your money, because I am not permitted to and would not anyway. Substantive challenges to the reasoning in a note are always read.

Liability

I give no warranty as to accuracy or completeness. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, anything published here. You act on your own judgement and at your own risk.
